I finally picked a date to travel back to my hometown in the Philippines. I'm afraid I have to miss Thanksgiving this year with the family and choose to be at my hometown earlier than I thought because of the fiesta. One good reason is because I miss a lot most of the Filipino foods we prepare that day. Of course, i can eat any food I've been missing any other day, but fiesta day is just different especially the ambiance. Family and relatives travel far just to celebrate. It's not like any ordinary day. One thing's for sure, roast pig is the centerpiece of the feast and I look forward to that.
